So after so much press on the culling of badgers in England this week, I thought I should really analyse my views on the matter.
As a vegan – previously life-long vegetarian – I can say with absolute dedication that animals have as much of a right to life as humans. We shouldn’t eat them, or take their milk – which is in fact made for their young. We should respect them as much as we respect each other, and care for the environment and all the flora and fauna which thrives within it.
That said, how are we going to be able to maintain equilibrium if population numbers of badgers rise out of control, threatening the survival of other species – for example, the hedgehog?
